International Applicants

There is an increasing number of international graduate students at the Institute. Several programs encourage applicants from international universities and try to support them with financial aid and on campus housing opportunities. There are two application periods for both undergraduate and graduate applicants. Many programs however, encourage their prospective graduate students to apply for the upcoming fall semester. Application for the fall semester for international students is in April of the same year. The exact dates are announced on the critical dates and deadlines.

The general requirements for applications are summarized below (the exact requirements may vary to program to program).

Minimum GRE/Quantitative scores of 610 (for M.S.) and 660 (for PhD).
Minimum TOEFL scores of 213/4.5 (computer-based), 550/4.5 (paper-based), 79/24 (Internet based), or score of 7 on IELTS.
GPA requirement; for M.S. applications, BS degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (out of 4.0), for PhD applications, M.S. degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0).
